The only problem as I see it is Porto. If we thought £34m was too much now, what happens when the PSG idiots are inevitably willing to come straight in with his full £42m release clause up front in the summer?
If it's a straight up shoot-out with both us and PSG agreeing fees with Porto I believe there is no question he will choose us, owing both to the "Premiership" factor (which he recently effusively said he loves), and France's 75% tax rate. He does have a real pirate agent Jorge Mendes, but Jorge has already tried to pack him off to Monaco in the past few months, to which Mangala assuredly said "no".
