Looks like Barça are tracking him now as well.

Us, United, Chelsea and Barca if the media reports are to be believed. Barcelona seems to get their man almost everytime - and for less money.

Chelsea just got Zouma, and are pushing for Varane. Barca pushing for Luiz and Balanta, and United will sign him just like Fabregas, Thiago blah blah blah.

It's between us and PSG IMO, depending on how they feel about Marquinhos's development. Although Chelsea may enter the picture if they can't get Varane.

Well, according to the taxman, anyway.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

If we are actually considering paying 38m surely Varane would be a better bet. Doubt PSG would be after him after signing Marquinhos for big money. CB is not really a position you rotate and they let Sakho leave and they're similar type players.

Why would Real sell Varane? Not as if they need the money.
38m is a lot to turn down plus they are in a lot debt and Pepe and Ramos are doing well together. Not saying we're definitely gonna get him but just we rather bid 38m for Varane than Mangala IMO neither are worth close to 38m but if we are paying that sort of money Varane is younger and plays in a better league.
There are not that many CB that really suit Manuel high line system even some one like Hummels would look pretty bad in that system.

Varane should have a 25m £ release clause if the rumours are true.

Re: Eliaquim Mangala

This is happening. Pellegrini prefers kolarov to Clichy. Main two priorities are mandala and an upgrade on garcia and rodwell. Valdez will probably happen, a lot will depend on joes form at the World Cup and over next few games.

I will go back again on Richards! It's hard to get rid of him as no one will pay his wages. Kieran trippier has been mentioned - only today. 30k wages as opposed to 80k and someone fit most weeks.

Just like Richards to Arsenal?
