Every top team in the last 30 years has had a rice type in their midfield. He is a top player and that’s why we wanted him as did Bayern Munich.
You could see Rice was quality at West Ham, he was always the one I wanted playing for them when they played our rivals.
Anderson, will be Rice level money based on that potential.
Not seen enough of him to know if he’s justifies that level of money but I doubt it.
But it’s worth it’s market price or market value.
We saw that today with Guehi, market price was below market value.
So sometimes it goes the other way and that’s where the club has to make a decision

Dave wouldn't have been dave without Fernandinho anchoring that midfieldWhich is a shame really. His best assets are set pieces and athleticism, a roadrunner basically. When are the David Silva type midfielders coming back?
Balance is so important, its why Lampard and Gerrard never worked as a pair
My best mate from Uni was a Hammer, he had a season ticket for 12 years and waxed lyrical about rice, said he knew hed be a star the minute he leaves
Athleticism and set pieces may be his "best assets" but that sells him short, hes a phenomenal player ad yes hes the best holding midfielder in the league right now

Pedri, Vitinha, Ruiz, Hjumand, Kamara, Stiller, Garcia from Athletico, Larson, Barrios.
Obviously, never getting Pedri nor Vitinha probably. But we should aim for these profiles. Alot of them cheaper than Anderson with more Champions League experience
Also some great young midfielders like Moros and Smit coming through. From the premier League, I like Odegaard and Damsgaard.

Fernandinho was a one off, he had absolutely everything. The role he played allowed the more creative players to flourish, safely in the knowledge that he was behind them. Likewise, the defence had that added layer of protection, which made us extremely difficult to penetrate.Fernandinho was a better player than Rice.

Well considering a couple of years ago there was a big chunk of the forum suggesting we pay the release fee for Guimares I'd say a few think we should pay that
I hope not! Really, that page shows how poor Prem midfielders are at the moment. Think back to the 90s/2000s - Viera, Petit, Lampard, Scholes Gerrard, Keane, Fàbregas, Makélélé etc to fuckin Declan Rice and Bruno G..
