Yes that’s strange given it’s Pep Lijnder’s forte.Need to fix our pressing also, its really poor compared to Peps best teams.
Yes, I think we are between two worlds - Pep's and Pep's.Yes that’s strange given it’s Pep Lijnder’s forte.

I've never seen a worse take. Anderson is the best midfielder in the league . Our whole short to mid term future depends on getting him signedSorry not for me admittedly I've seen more of nico o than I have of Anderson but my reasons are thst nico o has been promoted and is 1 of the first names on the team sheet for man city in the league and champs lge. He's better on the ball than Anderson stronger than Anderson better in the air than Anderson quicker than Anderson and a better ball carrier than Anderson. So for me Anderson would be the back up tho I'd prefer Wharton.
Who’s your dealer mate? His balance is insane
100% he will steady the midfieldHe’s got a little bit of the Bernardo in always being available for a pass, and being able to drop into pockets centrally and a lot of the Rodri in forward balls, tidy feet to get clear of his pressers and he gets himself about too.
Could be a pivotal signing for us.
Pep used to demand that from his players, but that was back in the good ol' days when we consistently had a killer press. You're quite correct about EA, but don't worry, if Pep is here next season he will no doubt find a way to coach that out of him. It's not just press resistant.
It's that EA is a fucking beast on defense when the ball turns over. He wins that ball and then makes a killer pass.
He might as well. I think there is no chance at all that he returns to us next season as I don't believe our brain trust is stupid enough to ink him to an extension. He's currently a shadow of the shadow of the old Rodri, and at this point, now 30 years old, he is far too much of a risk to rely on.Will be when Rodri leaves.
I think the ACL has hobbled him. Coupled with the fact he gets kicked to fuck every week with zero protection from the whistling wankers and the contrast in referring decisions that he's already made public.
I don't blame him if he trots off to Madrid.
He manipulates opponents so well with both his movement and his passing; in this sense, he does at times remind me of Rodri. A true midfield general who regulates and directs the movement of play in midfield...He’s got a little bit of the Bernardo in always being available for a pass, and being able to drop into pockets centrally and a lot of the Rodri in forward balls, tidy feet to get clear of his pressers and he gets himself about too.

Aye. There used to be a joke that if Pep could play eleven midfielders he would, and yet for two years now, midfield has arguably been the weakest part of our squad. There's a lot of talk about how the game's changed and the sort of game we used to play isn't possible any more, but let's be honest, there's no way that a midfield with peak De Bruyne, Gundogan, Rodri, Bernardo, etc, isn't still passing most of the current Premier League to death and pressing them relentlessly when we lose it. The issue isn't that football has changed, it's that we don't have the players to do it anymore. Gonzalez has done well, but he's not peak Rodri. Kovacic did well last season, but he's not peak Gundo. Cherki has done well, but he's not peak De Bruyne. And Bernardo and Rodri are naturally no longer as good as they were 2 or 3 years ago. He’s got a little bit of the Bernardo in always being available for a pass, and being able to drop into pockets centrally and a lot of the Rodri in forward balls, tidy feet to get clear of his pressers and he gets himself about too.
