Elon Musk buys and ruins Twitter

It popped up more since 2008. Prior to that asset prices weren't so inflated and even if they were cheap credit or credit that could be renewed were easier to get.

Misinformation isn't he sole reason fof Trump's rise to power. It certainly helped though.

The Democratic party being a basketcase didn't help things. If they had embraced Bernie Sanders during his first or second run then it might have been a different story. Rather than relying on Hilary and Hilary 2.0 and their own cognitively fragile nepotist.
Yes, it was never an issue globally prior to this.

Yes, cheap credit wasn’t available in 2021 when rates in the worlds largest economy were near zero.

Yes, asset prices weren’t inflated in 2005 or 2000.

Yes, these are the worst of times that call for edge politics.

Only if you’re bored.

I take it you've not read up on Tesla & what they have in store for 2025?

CyberCab & Optimus robot will be worth Billions alone in market cap and both will be rolled out next year. They have also basically cracked the code of FSD. Tesla is much more than an automaker and the stock market is finally realising that.

I personally feel that the current stock price of $425 is undervalued when you consider what is in the pipeline. Musk is a clown yes, but when you look at what is coming for Tesla I wouldn't be surprised to see the stock double by this time next year. Happy for you to bookmark this and revisit in a year.
It's highly speculative. I might find gold in my back garden. We don't know. Let's revisit as you say. For the record my advice to anyone holding Tesla stock is to sell across the next 3 months. The Trump win has caused a huge bump in shitcoin and other dubious asset values. Not saying Tesla is that, but the same forces apply.

Trump voters / musk fans seem to think they have some magic powers after the election win. They seem to have forgotten how awful Trump was last time and the only people who really benefit from Trump being in the Whitehouse are his immediate family and select associates (note I did not use the word friends). Grift is going to be the central plank of his term.

He collected hundreds of millions in payments for the new Roadster that was supposed to be delivered years ago, but there is still no sign of it. He has been promising full self driving next year for a number of years too, but he is actually behind other manufacturers in this space now. He claimed range figures for his HGV that were unrealistic and "demonstrated" it with a load a tenth of what an HGV usually carries.

The value of the company will probably double as you suggest, but because of the gullibility of people falling for his grifts rather than any track record of success.

Edit: I forgot his promised ROI on his self driving taxis that would make it pretty much the best investment opportunity in the world, outpacing the stock market by multiple orders of magnitude.
Agree, plenty of evidence suggests Musk is a BSer. These markets he is targeting are not competition free. And his ideas around eliminating millions of jobs by replacing people with driverless vehicles and robots will face some opposition even if he can make it work.

Currently hold a substantial amount of Tesla shares with an average price of around $110 per share, & I will not be selling any until 2030 at least. Experts predict it's going north of $1000 a share in the next 18 months so lets see how it pans out.

The trump factor does also come into play:

If I were you I would definitely hold on to Tesla shares until 2030.

Personally wouldn’t touch Tesla with a barge pole.
