Elvis’s daughter dies

I think the strongest genes in the world would’ve struggled to save Elvis the amount of prescription and illegal drugs he was shovelling down his neck

Three generations of alcohol and drug abuse. There is probably a predisposition in the genes, and inherited personality traits as well as family culture, that means they are more likely to bottle it up.

Fame hasn't treated the Presley family well.

In 2003 two friends and I did what we called our musical roadtrip, Nashville, Memphis and New Orleans. Lisa had just released her debut album, my friend bought it and she played it to death on our travels. Two things that come to mind, she was the image of her Dad on the cover and always liked this track..

"Someone turned the lights out there in Memphis
Ooh, that's where my family's buried and gone (gone)
Oh yeah
Last time I was there I noticed a space left
Oh, next to them there in Memphis, yeah
In the damn back lawn"

"Lights Out" now Lisa....sad
