Let's clear something up, we currently have 10 keepers:

Given
Hart
Taylor
GUNNAR
Gonzalez
Karius
Wood
Tobias Johansen
The other Johansen
Nathan something or other.

Given, Taylor, Gonzalez, the other Johansen are all injured.
Nathan something is a schoolboy thus can't play in the league.
Hart and the good Johansen are out on loan.
Wood hasn't got a squad number.

This leaves us with GUNNAR and Karius surely? Both are professionals on professional contracts?

EDIT: Forgot Mentel was released.

there is already some backlash from this. And perhaps from a neutral, or even a Spurs, Villa, or Liverpool perspective, probably rightly so.

How pathetic. I cant believe they quoted that Villa fan, "moneybags city shouldnt be cut any slack" we arent being cut ANY slack. Its the rules. It has nothing to do with money, if this was Macclesfield, their 3 first choice keepers are injured, do people really expect them to rush some unprepared youth team keeper into the sticks?

We have 3 main keepers injured, this is why we are allowed to sign a replacement.

Now here's a biased article. Would suggest that the volatile people avoid this article. It is terribly biased and the reporter needs a pole stuck up his face hole.

Oh dear, what a pile of dung! Full of bitter quotes from the bitter villlers and I'm not bothered in public twitchy.

Big Quinn we need you in nets. Remember that penalty save against Derby County? Tremendous.

I remember it well.

and, as a Cleveland Brown fan (the American football team Villa's owner Randy Lerner owns), they have plenty of money. Obviously can't compete with us, but they could definitely spend if he so chose. He's a billionaire.

I support the browns too, wanted my American Football team to mirror my English one .......never win anything and do things the hard way ......typical Browns :)

they're an awful team to root for, rarely do we show signs of actually competing.

Villa were given special dispensation to sign a keeper in 2006 when Sorensen and Taylor were injured.,short fucking memories methinks.

I was very disappointed with Mancini when he didn't allow Gunnar a chance to gain PL experience in the second half at Burnley, where City were leading by 5 at halv time... He definitely doesn't beleive in Gunnar, so if Hart comes and plays in these last matches, there is nothing to do for Gunnar but request a transfer. :-(
