Had the misfortune of a burst outside pipe supplying a garden tap last night. Turned out to be a plastic 90degree push fit connector ( although didn't know at the time it was that) A piss easy job to replace for even a novice if abled bodied.

Forced to call out a plumber who was here all of 20 mins who supplied and fitted a new elbow and put some better foam insulation around the pipe.

Nearly fainted at the £100 he charged.

had the same last year, leak on the hot water cylinder, small bit of copper, 20 minutes and £95

Washing machine was giving problems. Tried a few fixes but none worked.
Lad came out, looked at it for 5 mins, then told me I needed a new machine
