Emilio Lawrence

Yep, you snooze, you lose.

United are smart, they sponsor the Cup competitions through their foundation, so have a visible presence at that level.

Anyhow, someone has kindly sent me a PM for the girls liaison at City, so nothing ventured...
Go for it, ask them what they are up to a girls level and how they managed to let united steal a march on them. There must be hundreds of City mad girls wanting to wear a blue shirt. Good luck to your daughter whatever she decides to do.

I have just asked my United mate about him, his lad is pals with him and plays in same team at Everton, Jacob Beaumont-Clark.

Jacob plays for England schoolboys and has just signed scholar forms.

Everton are gutted about Emilio after putting in plenty of work with him.

My mate said he will be on a decent package going to City but be worth it, he's a top talent.

People shouldn't underestimate how proactive Everton are in Manchester and the surrounds.

They know they have to work twice as hard and even set up satellite training nights in Manchester for their kids from the area.

My mate's lad was released by United but Everton take chances on kids all the time.

I remember when my lad was about seven and playing at an indoor tournament near the Trafford Centre, they came to ask his age and had their people at all the games.
Agreed, my kids are 13 and 16 playing in the Timperley league, Everton always seem to be better represented at tournaments than City and united

Everton always seem to do well at youth level, u18s u23s I'm on about, but they like big powerful athletic types and the football they play isn't great

They play at Southports ground and the pitch up until recently was terrible and suited to a more direct style of play
The pitch was that bad a couple of years ago that Liverpool who used to play there upped sticks and left due to its bad condition, I'll state its been improved since, but Everton continued to use it when it was at its worst

Everton have won the u23 league and u18s league in recent times, but the football seems to produce L1 and L2 players
If this kid wants out due tk the reasons stated I'm not at all surprised

A few years ago I had my youngest lads team u7 at the time playing in a tournament at Curzon Ashton, the place was crawling with Everton scouts in all their Everton gear, you couldn't miss them and when they liked the look of a boy the 1st question they would ask was who the parents were, not because they wanted to speak to them, but so they could see the physical build of the parents and they would then get an idea what the son was going to be like
I found this a strange way to do things but hey ho they're the pros

There was 1 United scout, you wouldn't have known he was there, until he produced his scouts ID no gear on just a bloke watching football, he wasn't inrerested in anything but the skilful kids no matter the size of parent or kid

It just shows how each club do things differently at that time City were all about physical and athletic to (it was just before the takeover) United took my best player that day into their academy and he's from a family of Blues and he is still a Blue himself,

City wanted him but he didn't like the set up at City then and his parents sent him where he was comfortable
he's still playing professional football and he's in his 20s now

Put something similar on the women's thread. We are losing out to the rags for all the north west's top talent in junior girls football as we start later than other clubs.

Needs looking at.

The Rags (and Stoke) are now working under different rules than every other club when it comes to “RTCs” (posh acronym for Academy).

In girls football, as of the coming season, the FA have ruled that clubs must “skip” age groups so only have u8, u10, u12 u14 and u16.

There are no u7, u9, u11, u13 or u15 teams.

The Rags and Stoke aren’t subject to this and their age groups run right through. Not sure why. This obviously makes both of those clubs more attractive to female players and gives both clubs the opportunity for consistency.

He's a Manchester kid who was at City with every major club home & abroad after him from age 7, but he preferred Everton because they threw everything at him & his parents & he loved the football tournaments across Europe they kept taking him on & the 5 star treatment he & his family were afforded.

He ended up at Everton, but apparently the club from top to bottom is falling apart & he hates their workman-like style of football. He's finally come to his senses, so when offered a full pro contract by the Toffees he turned it down.

Apologies owed to City for allowing Everton to turn his head (At 8 years old it's understandable), but now a free agent & desperately wants to return home. He's a crazy lifelong City fan too as are his parents.

This kid is special & VERY driven, and when I say special, I'm talking future Balon D'or he's that good... Couldn't be happier for the boy & City!
That good?

Let her go there and develop her game mate, then pull a reverse Giggs/Charlie McNeil when they’re convinced she’s theirs
Needs a word with himself on this one, she’s absolute dynamite, plays like we all did, takes no shit and technically way above her peers, however, this allegiance bollocks is part of the dark ages…. You play for the love, which she does and when that is compromised it taints the game for them….

If I get wind she’ll be going to any trials, united or not as the end goal is her happiness, which she doesn’t need to mask with any hatred for those red cunts, they become the stepping stone!

Fletcher Moss are the main feeder in boys football. My nephew got picked up from there aged 7.
Was my team after west end boys, I think 7/8 of the team went on to be professional, notably Wes brown, who was shit but a unit…

I remember our coach, dick sherwood would put me on him in training, he was at least 6’2 at 14, me being 5’2 if I was lucky, and he couldn’t get near me, but when he did, the whole ethos of recruitment at that time was size and physicality, he’d leave you in a dump!
