I saw this at Rochdale too , why the fuk do the clubs not let kids in free and a fiver for adults?

How much money is a place in the final worth as opposed to going out in the semis in front of your usual mob?

A full house of screaming fans when you need it most has got to be worth missing out on a few bob. We proved that v Hamburg

We lost money and went out....

did we realy lose money how much does it cost to host a match i thought we would of made some thing considering all the extra food programmes and merchandise sold i aint questioning you im just surprised

We lost out on about £500,000 no doubt which we could have earned with higher prices.

We won't miss that money though and you can't put a price on that atmosphere. Lower leauge clubs are reliant on gate recipts though. They should realise that double the people at half the price is better than half the people at double the price.

Double the prices you still get 3/4 to 2/3 the crowd.

Higher prices mean more money, Bates has stuck them right up in the past 2 years at Leeds, they get lower crowds but more revenue.

It was teh same at Sheff Utd last night too.

It amazes me that such an important game doesn't sell out, but 2 in 2 nights, maybe these supporters don't want the heartbreak that usually follows promotion, but Stoke (and Reading previously) have shown its not a forgone conclusion.

I simply don't understand it because I would be there whatever for such an important game. When we played the '99 "final" I worked a night shift and went straight to the game, did the same the following year for the Blackburn game.

You could always try here for a fiver.
