There seems to a one size fits all approach to these occasions. It has to include a lap of honour by the players and their kids. If we've just been presented with a trophy then I want to see the players parade the trophy in front of me, perhaps take a few pics. But if we haven't, and the season isn't actually over, then why is it necessary? I'm quite capable of showing appreciation to the players whilst they're all stood in the centre circle. They dont need to spend 20 mins wandering all the way around the pitch for me to to do that. Let them stay on the pitch (or at least get them back asap if there are logistical problems). Take their applause in the middle of the pitch. A short speech by Vinny. A presentation to MP. Jobs a good 'un.

Did we? We never appreciated many many shit managers we had because they didn't deserve any appreciation and some of the shit the players used to get when we were shit was on a different planet to anything anyone like Bony gets now. Even my old Nan stood up once and shouted "Edgehill you're shit!" and he heard it. Never mind some of our big mouthed moaners we've ALWAYS had!

Not seen many people throw their season tickets on the pitch this season, have you?

I remember being stood in the Kippax & someone ripping one up & lobbing it in the pitch. Maybe they made plastic ones so they fly further ;-)
 
nice to see the thread get derailed as usual. Who's up for some end of season silliness saying farewell to Pelle and some of the players as well.

Couldn't call it "Player X party vs Arsenal" thread as we don't know who's actually leaving, despite our best guesses. Tonight was a great display but would be good if we could have some fun last home game of the season.
 
We have regressed under Pellegrini no doubt, but his title winning season was our best football since the takeover and to reach the CL semis is no small achievement. Give the man his sendoff and move on.

This is assuming top 4.
 
For being a nice bloke he deserves a decent send off but management-wise I'm glad he's off (regardless of Pep)

I'm just hoping it's not a win or bust game (Utd better our result on Sunday) because if we don't get top 4 this season no amount of being a nice guy can save him

Won't hear me chanting his name or applauding him after this season, next week.

I don't think he deserved to be in his job after last season yet this season there has been more wrong team selections, more wrong tactics, constant occasions where we've been outnumbered in midfield, he hasn't got the team fit enough and we're outworked by our opposition almost every week, there are absolutely no defensive systems in place and he's making this team look far worse than it is, he's thrown the FA Cup and is doing his best to throw the Premier League top three too.

Ten defeats this season, 64 fucking points after 36 games. And we are fucking BORING to watch!

Begiristain and the players not exonerated from any of these pathetic aspects but it's mostly down to this fella and I cannot wait until he leaves.

Well done on the good things you've done, but you've criminally underachieved!
 
I've changed my mind about applauding him after our last home game.

After witnessing that shambles of a performance against Southampton, it just reminds me why we've regressed so badly over the last two years, inept management!

FUCK OFF PELLEGRINI!
