End of the world - 2012

TBH you'd go to the London/New York Times if you were to have this info, not some geek with a blog. However, whilst having a boring mundane moment at work this did cross my mind and a part of me was shouting "why are you wasting your time, the world's going to end!!!"

Im no astronomer, or space expert, but aren't the vast majority of solar systems binary star(2 suns) systems?

Could we actually have a 2nd sun? Could all the supposed increase in natural disasters and climate change be as a result of the 2nd sun, and it's planets, getting closer to Earth? Aren't we overdue for an extinction? supposedly most of the life on earth gets wiped out every X number of thousands of years. Could Nibiru/Planet X/2nd sun be the cause?
