End of year reflection

Last 2 months been pretty brutal but given a few astute signings in January and a bit of good fortune I still think we can have a pretty decent season. The team are still behind the manager and that’s all that matters.
Onwards and upwards.
 
We're still champions of England after four in a row.Fa cup and champions league still to play for.
What's not to like.
Still puzzled how we beat forest 3-0 and let the Rags win.

Julian Alvarez has been a big loss to City and a huge plus for Atletico.Guardiola didnt handle it well

We’ve declined over the course of the year, which is the subject of the thread: ‘End of Year Reflection’. And I’ve found the overall reduction to be difficult.

But I’ve still been going to plenty of games. As I have since 1976. I’m sure my stripes will match up to yours.
 
It’s been a tough season which in all honesty wasn’t to be expected but we are still here and always will be City till I die.
 
We won the league. That'll do for me. Pep signing an extension too, delighted about that.

Second half of the year has been rough, no doubt, but maybe a blessing in disguise. It's highlighted exactly where we need to strengthen. The club should've been on top of that anyway but it's easy to say in hindsight. Not too many were saying it when we were lifting a trophy.

Certainly a year of two halves, or rather 3/4 and 1/4. I'm very optimistic despite the past few months. If the club is as solid and organised as we think, we'll get back where we belong, even if the league is gone for this season. We've done 4 in a row, the run had to end at some point and in a way, and I said, I don't think a bad thing its ended with us having a horrible spell because it's exposed exactly what we need to fix.

So all in all a good year. A league title, Pep extending and a harsh reality check to benefit us going forward.
 
Just turned 61, which means 60 years and 381 days of being a City fan!

4 in a row after THE Treble, after being domestic Fourmidables, after scoring record goals, and record points, and, and, and…so, yeah, not been a bad year to be a Blue, and we still have 5 months of “Together: The Fight Back” to make something of this season yet, so who knows how special the future can be?!

On reflection, it was good to be Blue…again…in 2024. And it will be again next year. And the next. And the next. And…
