if England were a great side they'd have batted positively with class, got a lead of 200 with a session and a half left and bowled NZ out.
Then again SA are a class above and can bowl this lot out for 40 odd.

Over the last decade England have proved themselves to be a class side.
NZ are never easy to beat at home.

After the debacle of the first inning's, I think a draw is a good effort.

Finn showing what a road this is. Test Cricket is at it's best when there is something in it for both the batsman and the bowlers but far too often they are worried about the gate receipts and getting 5 days play out of a pitch and it just ruins it as a spectacle.

2nd test starts tonight. Hopefully England will start better than the 1st test
Also Brendon McCullum has said today Alastair Cook is 2nd only to Don Bradman as the greatest ever batsman
Now Cook is a great batsman but thats a pretty bold statement
