I took it in during my week off. Have a tip of £4.99 at the Printworks for a daytime midweek. Trainspotting 2 was over double.
It was enjoyable enough. He is a complex and divisive character which was captured well. I'd give it a 7/10 for effort and authenticity. Just told a story.

It was shown in NY and LA over the weekend and general release in the States next week - doubt it will make Florida though.... so will most likely have to wait for the DVD to come out! (probably 4 weeks later!)
I'm a bit pissed off that the trailer reveals the end when some kid called Johnny knocks on his door and asks him to join his band. Totally ruined it for me...

Wrong, the US premiere was last night in LA at the Ricardo Maltoban Theatre.
It was attended by the director and Billy Duffy, who features prominently in the film.
There was also a Q&A after the movie was shown.
I didn't attend, but it is slated to officially open in the USA on Sept 1st, and it is going to be shown in Florida, so don't get your knickers in a twist matey.
