i aint over bothered or caring too much though always want england to win but consider them well below city in the caring and give a fuck stakes but was just thinking tosay that after the world cup i can see certain players retiring from international football to prolong the footballing carears and cant blame them...i think the future in goal will be ok as hart will eventually stake his claim and remain there for may years and gain 75 plus caps, the centre pairing has not much life left in it as i think terry and plug will play up to the next euro's,the 2 full back positions should be ok up to the next world cup with cole and johnson being there but the main bone of contention will be the midfield as i can maybe see gerrard, lampard and poss barry retiring pretty soon from the england team. The ginger freak has years left and will just need a partner as nothing changes there so 6 players i think will have to be found,2 centre backs and 4 midfilders,i am hoping our jonno may take a wide role pretty soon...

It will be the last world cup for Gerrard, Lampard, Ferdinand, A Cole, Terry but still think they've all got another Euro's left in them in 2012.

I always want England to do well in the World Cup, but it's always the same story.

The players say they are going to win it, the press try and start a scandal or two, we get knocked out in the quarter finals, and a few older players retire.

Same old story, same old England.

If Rooney can stay fit, we may have a chance of winning it, but I'm not holding my breath.

City mean more to me, but England will reach the quarter finals, and then blow it in the usual fashion.

England, as a whole, aren't good enough.
Imagine if Gerrard, Lampard or Rooney got injured, who's there to step up?

Spain, if Xavi or Iniesta get injured, they have Fabregas, Alonso and Arteta.

We're miles behind them imo.

Obligatory QF defeat thanks to shrek being red carded for something he gets away with in the league week in, week out.

England after world cup
Joe Hart

Micah Richards Ned Joleon Lescott Captain Bridge

Shaun Michael Johnson Gareth Barry Adam Johnson

2 from the rest of prem league( just to be fair we cant be having a monopoly

Do you think perhaps that is SLIGHTLY biased? ;)

I would say our prospects are non too shabby, after the World Cup. There will obviously be a clear out but it won't be wholesale.

Players who will become regulars and be blooded will be.

Hart/Foster

Johnson/Richards
Gibbs
Smalling/Wheater
Cahill/Dawson

A Johnson
Rodwell
Vaughn
M Johnson
Wilshire

Sturridge
Welbeck
Carroll

Current players to establish themselves in team Milner Walcott C Cole Lescott Lennon Bent

Veterans to stay in squad Terry A Cole J Cole Gerrard Terry Crouch Defoe Barry and possibly Green oh and that boy Rooney

Players who will retire or be dropped
Heskey Lampard James Hargreaves Ferdinand Upson Bridge. Looking into the future, after Euros can see a team possibly of

Hart

Johnson
Richards
Smalling
Gibbs

A Johnson
Rodwell
Milner
Wilshire

Rooney
Carroll

I have a sneaking suspicion that Bent may well come good by 2014. With the right manager.
