Has Gareth grown a pair? Rashford left out apparently. Now if he's got the balls to dump Henderson and Maguire and consider benching Trent the not so incredible and Kane the unstoppable, maybe we'll get somewhere.

Why would he drop Kane? He's just won the Bundesliga golden boot and he's scored plenty of goals for England.

• Reece James (Chelsea)
• Ben Chilwell (Chelsea)
• Jordan Henderson (Ajax)

To be fair to Southgate, it seems like he's leaving senior players like Henderson, Rashford, James etc. out entirely rather than wasting their time with a provisional call up.

I think he intends to take Grealish to the Euros. But it's not 100%.

I don't think Southgate has necessarily said "don't get your hopes up, you are cover" but I definitely think there are a number of young players there to simply give them this experience and dangle the carrot for the future. We will see how many he names overall, but I wouldn't have thought he would call Grealish up to them cut him like you say.

Trafford, Quansah, Jones and Wharton are all on the cut list unless injuries come into play or they really impress.
