Manchester United...

Newcastle?
West Brom?
Swansea?
Aston Villa?
Stoke?
Sunderland?
Crystal Palace?

I'd go with Rooney and Sturridge, but I can see Welbeck getting the nod for his work rate. I think those three will make up the 3 first choice forwards in the squad anyway, with one of Carroll, Lambert or Crouch in the running for the 'Plan B' option, hopefully Lambert.

Wellbeck isn't starting for United at the moment. You have to be playing regularly for your club side to go to the World Cup with England in my opinion...

That rule doesn't apply to them though.

What happened to Connor Wickham? Everyone was raving about him 3 years ago.

These things happen, I'm sure he'd be pretty decent if he could start every week somewhere, though I doubt he'd be international quality.

I personally think Andy Carrol will have a decent season after crimbo and I'd have him going to Brazil over Defoe. When England start playing our traditional long balls into the atmosphere and shit crosses routine I can't think of many players who'd be better at making something of them in our international pool.

I know everyone wants more technical players but we ain't got those and don't play to their strengths, Andy fits our style well. A big bully who can win aerial battles.
