England v Ireland - Sun 17th Nov, 17:00 | UEFA Nations League

Euro and World Cup qualifiers should be enough at international levels and players will now need a summer for the club's World Cup tournament, Bin the Nation League its pointless

This.
Just this.

Maybe — just maybe — the occasional friendly between the two major tournaments. But the season has now been brought to a grinding halt three times for this non-event, and we're in November. Enough is enough. In this case it's too much.

But without the players, there wouldn't be tournaments to make them money.
Player power will be the new thing for 2025, I can see big changes on both the club and the international front and once the club's World Cup tournament gets closer in the summer we could see a player strike.

Rodri has already spoken about the possibility of a strike and the FIFA club tournament could be their main aim
Managers and Players don't want it, But the clubs are committed to it and have to honour the deal.
I wasn't saying that I agreed with it @ancoats.

The players are being flogged to death already without unnecessary shit like the Nations League bollocks.

The issue is with the football authorities who just want more competitions because of the finances they bring.

Personally I couldn't give a flying fuck if we didn't take part in the World Club competition either, but with a huge financial reward for the winners, the club are probably keen to participate, in spite of the problems of fixture pile up and a fucked up pre season preparation time that causes.

Was at the game so not read any match comments but just a hunch we may see a Kyle Walker headed goal for us in the Premier League etc this season!!
