England v Scotland | Euro 2020 Group Stage

Southgate said something post match which I think should be a sackable offence:

“If you can’t win the match you need to make sure you don’t lose.”

So Gareth, at what point in that match did you decide we were too shit to actually try to beat the 3rd lowest ranked team in the tournament? Why do we have to have the mentality that we can’t win the match just because it’s 0-0 in the second half? Why can’t we make changes that actually enhance our chances of winning? League Two manager, sack him now.
That’s it
He is more worried about losing that winning
If we play anyone good he’d take getting beat 2-1 rather than risk a hammering and actually try to win.
Pep would have this team on fire

Calvert Lewin for Kane
Foden on the left
Southgate to show some balls with his substitutions.
I’d play this side:

———————-Pickford——————-
Walker—Stones—Mings—Trippier
———————-Henderson—————
—————Grealish——Mount———
Sterling—CalvertLewin—Foden

Why the hell has Foden been playing on the right? Everything looks so unnatural for him over there! Walker can revert to his old Spurs tactics and overlap (he used to be seen as a very good attacking full back) and Tripper can hold back in defence with Henderson holding in midfield. Calvert-Lewin is so much more mobile than Kane (I’m yet to be impressed with Kane without Son next to him).

This way we’d have 6 attacking options instead of 4 like we’ve had in the first two games.

Yes, indeed, Sancho and Bellingham would be at the front of the queue for subs and with that you can change the formation somewhat.

Why is Lingard not there after the season he’s had? He was sat watching the game in Alty with me.

Maybe it is a good job it was only a 0-0 draw.

The way the Scots are carrying on,i think had they won they would have dismantled Wembley Brick,by Brick, and took the Stadium home. :-)
He'll if I had known that I would have let them win then we could build a decent stadium in the Midlands.

Whilst completely understanding the reservations about Southgate , i was wondering which English manager you'd all like to take over ?
I think Scott Parker has shown more tactical inventiveness than Southgate and I wouldn’t even have Parker.

Potter would be my #1
Wilder
Lampard

He won't start Foden against Czech Republic. No doubt it will be Sir Marcus in for Phil.
Foden has been the most creative player in both games but still got whipped twice.
Shocking management.

Slabhead needs to start the next game, As shit as he is he's alot better than Mings. At least he will get his foot on the ball on carry the ball up the field along with breaking lines with passes (or at least they to). Mings is garbage.

The problem we have now is the one of Kane. Do we persist in him knowing that he still has goals in him or start with Rashford who has been pretty shit all last season for the rags?. The choices up front are really shit for a national side, oh just remembered Calvert-Lewin, is he worth a punt?

Bamford ?

Henderson, the epitome of an overhyped player, I hate that twat at the same level as Robertson. Lingard had a few good games for West Ham but was pretty anonymous in the games where the Hammers failed to win towards the end of the season, he's pretty shit overall.
