Mainoo has promise but is incredibly raw and positionally naive/undisciplined. He's one we should have simply kept an eye on to see how he develops at club level, with an eye on the next tournament or even the one after.

They seem to forget that players coming on with 10 minutes to go will always look a bit more impressive because they have something to prove.
Palmer or Gordon start and their performances will be identical to those they replace.
Then they are subbed on 80 and we go round and round because the subs coming on for them are desperate to impress.
It’s the fucking 0-80 stage of the game we need to work on not the 80-90 bit.
