Been evident for months to those who can see through the shite. Ali and lingaard were not to dissmiliar to how they performed in the world cup, yet sterling was the one who courted criticism. Glad he did not play tonight as it was clear for all to see without him they don't have a genuine attacking threat. Yet in some circles kane is deemed as world class above sterling. Oh deary deary me.

Spain were simply better. England continue to have very few options as the ball gets in to the opposition half; the movememt off the ball is not good enough and the players are not clever enough. Compare Isco to any of our midfielders foe example.

There are signs of improvement from us but we need a player to knit things together in the attacking midfield.

Shaw and Gomez have been out injured for months or years. Have 3 or 4 games for dippers and rags - BOOM, back in the England team at the expense of better players
