But according to Greg Dyke, he deserves a new contract.All these changes being made game after game in this tournament says to me he doesn't have a clue what his best team is. Which when you also take into account that he's been in charge since 2012, is a fucking outrage.
England's biggest problem is that their four deepest players (Smalling, Cahill, Dier, Rooney) all aren't good enough to play a penetrating pass through the middle.
Every time they get the ball, it gets pinged out wide. Piss easy to defend against.
Looking at the bench, Wilshere and Stones would both make a big difference in that area.
I don't really want to criticise the forward players, they aren't getting any service. Nothing is coming through the centre at all, every England attack goes out wide. Everybody says Kane has been poor, but England haven't really created a chance for him all game.
Wilshere and/or Stones need to come on at half time, their vision and passing range could find Alli, Kane, Sturridge or Sterling in central areas where they can be very effective.
