The team that played Dortmund had one Englishman, Jo, and 2 newbies.
The team that started against Sunderland had 5 English guys and no Newbies.
The fight, passion and team spirit that went missing against Dortmund was there against the Makems, where we allied the grit of the home grown guys with the artistry of our overseas players.
I know Sunderland are no where near as good as Dortmund but even so should Bobby consider starting more of our home grown players in Europe rather than newbies who have not yet been indoctrinated into how we play?
Apart from Sergio it takes usually takes a while for newbies to find their feet as with Silva and Ya Ya, still waiting for Mario.

Was a very pleasant surprise to see City play with such intensity against Sunderland. Mancini got his team selection right.

Milner may have earned a start in midfield, but I am not interested in a nationality debate. Tevez and Zab for example are very physically committed players
