Iv been having the time of my life last 10 years especially.
I sort of feel sorry for all those City fans that didn't go through the dark times. They would be able to take the odd defeat or not winning the PL a lot easier.
It was great watching the Rodri cameo at Sunderland. That’s the level we have been missing in midfield. Nico alongside Rodri would be unbreakable against the big teams I think. I hope Rodri can come back fully.
That's a very good point , some of our previous squad a season too far , Gundo and Kev , now looking at Stones Ake and Bernie all legends but legs have gone, I thought this year would be a transition season and pleasantly surprised how quickly some have gelled,I’m just amazed Pep has turned us into contenders again this quickly considering how wrecked we looked last season. Actually enjoying this season more than I have in many a season. It seems less stressful as the underdog, and it still feels like we could win a trophy or two. I’m pretty excited about next season and how we might look then once everyone has jelled and there’s a couple of quality new faces.
We have missed Rodri so much. He is the man who links defence with attack. He runs the whole show. Nico is more like Gareth Barry. He mops things up and keeps possession. I think they can play together. Which would be fantastic in those big European games agaist counter-attacking teams. The second half of this season is going to be a brilliant watch.I know it's not the thread but since several of the last few posts have draw attention to him: the thing I notice with Rod is he always seems to have time. I'd say nine times out of ten he knows who he's going to pass the ball to before he gets it himself. He quietly made one or two exquisite passes, and otherwise just kept City's momentum ticking over. Now I rate Nico G, and he's done an admirable job deputising, but sorry, he's just not an even vaguely comparable level.
And oh yes, I'm enjoying this season very much. I didn't honestly expect us to be challenging for the title, I felt it was a bit too early for this team. We're well placed in the CL, semi-final of the League Cup, and still very much in the argument for the PL. Think of us about thirteen months ago…
All the pressure remains on Arsenal and they make matters worse for themselves thanks to their hysterical social media followers and their deluded pals in the London media. We can play with freedom this season in all competitions. We have nothing to prove to anyone. I can't wait.Apart from the centurions season, we've always come from behind to win the league title.
I had a chat with a friend just before the Sunderland game that I won't mind a draw. That would keep Arsenal on top for now while we keep up the pursuit.
Pep has been written off so many times in the past but he always often has the last laugh.
I am hoping that this season will follow a similar pattern.

Good post, Lovebites.
Is it pep, or is it just better players and less injuries and Haaland having a worldie first 15 games?
I feel sorry for the super blues who don't even go.Iv been having the time of my life last 10 years especially.
