Enzo Maresca

Can't remember where I read/heard it, but I'm sure someone said that Maresca was the one who came to with the idea to play the four centre backs in the treble season and the 3-2 system.

I'd argue that's the best we've ever been out of possession so will be very interesting to see what he does and who we target.

Mareca is Pep-lite but lacks Pep inventiveness

Yes Pep's style is often underlined by similar principles but he changes the formation to get best

433 to 4231 to his 3241 then to a 4222 etc.

Same idea, control and possession but implemented differently

Maresca formation doesn’t change, if its not working its the players fault not the system

Not enthused about this before, but hopefully hes better with game management and rotation then Pep was, Pep loved running players into the ground
Hope not, Amorim at that trouble at the rags.

Nope, Gundo -

I don’t envy the task ahead. He is onto a kicking to nothing. You can’t fill the void left by pep so don’t try.

Set the team up to press, work hard and run. You never know we might get another cup or two.

I think City will act quickly in naming the new manager. It could be by tomorrow or before Friday
If it's Maresca, then we all have to back the board's choice and get right behind him

One thing I hope is that we sort out the full-backs and get proper full-backs and build a solid back 4 or 5

Despite the depth, fullback has been one of our strongest positions this season, O'Reilly won our poty award and oremier league ypoty playing left back and I haven't seen a better right back in the league than Nunes. So I hope he doesn't have any plans to revert to a 4 cb setup again.

I said the same sort of thing to my lad, But he wants Kompany, but why would he take it right now ?

Look, nobody knows how it will turn out for the new manager, but the truth is, it's the players who will decide
He needs a strong backbone and to get everybody on board straight away. I will say the new manager will have a very good squad of world-class players and Haaland

Not based on Sunday. An injury to Nunes we are fucked, not so bad on the left.

Yea and a club that has been built over the last 10 seasons by Pep. That legacy is what will stand us apart. Players love all that istory -:)

Khaldoon has been at the helm now for a long time. We know who we are as a club and how to win. The structure is in place for the right person to succeed.

Komps isn’t right for now. Heart over head. You can’t expect him to follow pep. He is on his own road back to us.

It’s gonna be bumpy and fun hopefully. I always try to stay sensible with expectations but once the game kicks off that goes out the window lol. Il probably want Komps like your lad after a few defeats -:)

That's why I said despite the depth. I.e we have none beyond Nunes. Left back isn't an issue, Gvardiol is as good as anybody there. Not convinced RAN has what it takes but I'll give him another season.

I think it'll be a few weeks before its announced. Especially if this compensation with the chavs needs sorting.
agree on on the Full backs though.

I suspect it may be a bit soon do do it tomorrow? Let the dust settle on the celebrations for a day. Then Wednesday is blue carpet, get the cones out, what time is the press conference etc?

Obviously it might drag on for a while yet, but he's available and imagine it's not in anyone's interest to drag it out now its the worst kept secret in football.
Yeah, probably. Content from yesterday and selling Pep merch is most likely what we’ll get today, but if Maresca has already been in for the photoshoot, interview, and all the graphics are ready, then I think he’ll be announced very soon.
