Enzo Maresca

not got a clue how reliable this is

Pep is probably back in Spain ....

I wouldn't be surprised if the club want to leave a full week before an announcement and give the media team a chance to put some content together.
Will be interesting to see how City decide to unveil him. They will want to try and get buy in from the fans as quickly as possible so perhaps another more informal interview like the one Pep did with Noel to try and bring out his personality better.

Club have been planning for this for years. EDS coach, away for experience, then back and on to Leicester for more experience, on to Chelsea as a step up but Chelsea realised that not only was he coaching the team he was gaining more valuable experience in the PL and Chelsea got wise and asked him to step down. Now that man is ready for the hardest job in football. The Chessman cometh.

highlights the club know what there doing.

Haven't read the article yet, but a week ago I wasn't happy with him as the next manager, but at some point I had a thought that the Guardiola project, started by Khaldoon and HHSM in 2010, has got to be the most successful sporting project in history.

They saw Barca beat everyone, came up with a plan to get City there, spent 6 years bringing everything together and then 10 years watching it pay out beyond what anyone could have hoped.

How am I then going to sit here and disagree with how they decide to start the next era?

Totally agree with what you say, and you know what I too have that little bit of doubt in my mind - its normal to have that because of what we have now no longer got

10 years of genius but like you mention. We had success prior to Pep, Pep came in and just took it to another level.

We cant expect that to continue, but our club are the best at planning and getting things in place.

The last 10 years isnt really just about the trophies and the records when we start to reflect back - its the legacy, the philosophy of Pep, the standards set for all those who come after which are now set in stone
