Enzo Maresca

It depends on the detail. What was the nature of City's contact with Maresca? I do think it Could be serious but as fans we have no way of knowing other than that Chelsea have some kind of claim. We cannot determine its strength.

If he left Chelsea and then signed for City then ok, but that was not the case
His links with Pep and City are very well known, so that can not be the case of tapping him up because Chelsea took his resignation and moved on

It won’t be that though. Maresca is or will be appointed. When the club do it will be whats best for them . The flapping is just the usual suspects.
It’s pretty obvious chelsea can’t stop him working unless they are paying him and hi coaches. If they report us to the PL for tapping up then the Premier league can charge us.

So can the Premier League charge Liverpool with Iraola ? he announces he’s leaving Bournemouth in April, knowing Liverpool wants him, even more the case with Liverpool that they have the ex-footballing director of Bournemouth

Showing my blind ignorance here but not entirely sure how you can sack somebody but then be entitled to compensation over his next move…
He wasnt sacked it was a mutual agreement and because he did the proper thing and reported contact from 2 clubs and now wants to work with one of them Chelsea are doing for yanks do and trying to ambulance chase.

Well we wasn't sacked. Maresca resigned. We don't know the nature of City's contact with Maresca. We don't know what was offered or said, and we don't know whether the contact was by an intermediary, but we do know that there are Premier League rules on approaches to players / manager that should be made with a club's consent.

I am a lay person but I could construct a compensation claim for Maresca's contract and also consequential loss of revenue, sponsorships etc dependent on the nature of City's approach

Difficult to prove an illegal approach. In Maresca's case, he reported contact from City to CFC.
