Nobody wants to see a former club servant go to someone else in the league and do well. I’ve wanted Palmer to fail at Chelsea for the same reason.I mean what else do you expect them to say. He won Confrence League, Club World Cup & managed a 4th place with a fairly mediocre squad. Chelsea before & after him with almost the same squad couldn't even crack 4th place in the PL. He provided stability to a wildly volatile club in his time there. If their fans can't acknowledge that then that's a lack of gratitude on their part.
City is different, the leadership is much more stable, the players vastly superior and much more suited to the controlled possession style of play. I don't know whether he will be a success here but one thing I am entirely sure of is the fact that I will be 100% in his corner once he gets appointed here. Let's give him the chance he deserves and he may surprise a lot of people.
Chelsea’s players were furious the club let him go. Most Chelsea fans were angry that they replaced Maresca with Rosenoir.
