Yep. 2-2 Gidman last few seconds, free kick. Then 0-0 at Maine Rd then 3/0 at Leeds rd. we took fucking thousands to both games at their place.

Great cup runs that season but lost both QFs to Merseyside.

I went to the first but was down south at polytechnic for the other two replays. Came back up for 5th round v Plymouth and Everton QF in league cup (coach windows all bricked in!).

I was in the main stand, incredible scenes. Pockets of blues all around the ground were going mental.

I was at Huddersfield too and I think for sheer unbridled hysteria that just edges it.

That was an unbelievably fun season to follow City - considering we finished about 6th in the 2nd division there were so many brilliant moments. Just goes to show it’s not all about winning trophies.

Me too; banged my knee on the barrier when bouncing round. Absolutely killed but it didn't stop me.
