About the guy that wrote the article..Chelsea fan ;)

About Ray Curren
Ray has coached and played in Connecticut for two decades, and has followed and covered MLS since its inception. He also follows the English Premier League (while a Chelsea fan, still has a place in his heart for the smaller clubs trying to stay in the league). Ray also loves international soccer, usually the more obscure the better

Football tourists telling us how it is.

Is a roster like a rooster?

He has Petrovs mixed up. This is City not Villa!

Don't know about rooster but the article is a load of cock.

He's right about one thing though .....

it IS all about winning 'insignificant' games ......

it's all right beating the likes of the rags once or twice a season , but it's what you do in the remaining , less conspicuous , games that really counts ....... that's what makes a club champions ....... getting the extra points from those!

After all we beat Chelsea TWICE last season , but they were still first out of the pub come closing time , weren't they ?

Whilst we , and others , were still finishin' our drinks!

I don't think much of the article, to be honest, but if pundits want to have doubts then it's fair enough. People get far too wound up about what's written about us. If we want to silence the doubters it's in our hands: we just need to put a pot or two on the sideboard. As of yet we've won nowt, so why should the wider world accept that we've already arrived?

I'm not sure that Mancini will, but if I were in his shoes I'd be using it as a motivational tool. I'd be reporting every negative article to the players and encouraging them to get out there and enjoy ramming the critics' words back down their throats. Best response there is.

He makes some fair points (which most people have made) then shows he also has no idea what he's talking about. The overall tone of the piece is bitter and scared and that makes me smile just a little.

As an aside I can't abide this EPL shit - we are not in America can we just call it the Premier League or if you need to shorten it then just PL we all know what you are talkin about!

It's an article any of us could have wrote in one sentence:

Potential to beat anybody, but this is City we're talking about.

Petrov the calming influence really gave it away.
