I've just read Virginia Roberts Guifre (RIP) book. Eastern, Maxwell and everyone else involved in these sordid deeds really were sick individuals.

I had always wondered if the photo of Virginia with Andrew was a photoshop job. It wasn't. However the compensation she received didn't help rid her of the horrors of her teen trafficked years.

My own pov is that I don't think much of her husband, but he was her choice and I'm sure the Royal pay off has enhanced his life. ( they were separated, he regularly committed domestic violence against her, but as with every situation in life when people are involved there are two sides to every story).
As for her father....
Sad ending for a girl who had endured so much as a child and teen. Sweaty Andy is bad enough!!

My mates day used to run a Greenhall's pub in Warrington (The Poplars).

There was some pretty infamous graffiti on the sign outside the pub for a while. Some local scamp turned the trumpet in the woman's mouth into a comedy phallus and scrawled the words "Landlord Billy's Cock" underneath. His missus didn't see the funny side.

He kept a nice pint to be fair.

They were very good pub retailers but terrible brewers imo. Their marketing in the 80s was very effective too.

I did prefer Tetley's to be fair. Greenhall's mild was alright though.

Think GW varied a lot.
The nearer to the Warrington brewery, the better it was. The real ale version could be ok ?
The GW keg at Maine Road was pure piss, mind...

I remember being at Wilderspool when the Greenall's ad came on and the bloke behind me said 'get up there,lad, and cut the wire'. Obviously not such a fan of the marketing!
