Of course Andrew could go and defend himself but i can't see that happening.

It's quite clear, if you read through royal bios, that the Queen has had a certain "blind spot" with Andrew for years.
When he was born he was the eldest in that second unit of four children, and she had more time (and was more settled in her reign) for the last two.
Plus, he was a bit of an "Action Man" (Falklands etc) in his younger years so the parallels with Prince Philip were there for her.
He has always been her favourite, and whilst I understand that I sincerely hope she now sees him for what he is. A self entitled pompous thick twat
