I watched the programme live,and Bristow came across as ignorant,arrogant and chauvenistic,hes nothing but a vile prick.
Each to their own though.

Don't get me wrong I think he's an utter **** and I agree he's a prick.

I just don't think he was calling her darling as a put down in that instance. It's a minor point in the grand scheme of things.

It isnt though, its the exact opposite of a minor thing. The whole point of the interview for Bristow was to try and show that he was not a rude ignoramus from the dark ages. By calling her darling, be it for a put down or just out of outdated sexist stupidity, he gave credibility to exactly what he was there to counter. Its not a minor point, because he totally showed himself up, again.

Calling someone darling isn't outdated sexist stupidity though is it? Bristow did show himself up again yes but that wasn't his intention during the interview, he was quite clearly backtracking and trying to deflect away from his tweets. Him saying darling was intending to by a nice gesture. That's what I got from it.
