Eric Webster

Sad news. I remember Eric as County manager and know he's regarded as a stalwart of that club for his work there in many roles. However, I either never knew or had forgotten that he played for us. His one appearance (I see from the BM history section that it was a six-goal battering at Ninian Park) wasn't eaxctly the most auspicious but at least he can say that he lined up in a First Division game with some really top names in the likes of Revie, Meadows, Broadis and Trautmann.

He only made one appearance for City, in 1953, but sadly passed away on Sunday. He went on to manager Stockport County for 13 years.

His family have been in touch asking if anyone has any photos or memorabilia of Eric. It's a long shot, but you never know.
