Poor from City_Xtra. Just post the entire quote. It’s still extremely positive for City from a great source.

They deleted the tweet and… retweeted Madrid Zone, which is so stupid, but also exposes them for what they are. These two will repost anything, so it’s fitting they’re in it together. I’d also be careful giving Cortegana more credit than he deserves.

One difference you see in the Madrid media and the media that covers our club in the journalists chosen for the job. EVERY single journalist covering Madrid for Marca, As etc is a lifelong Madrid supporter. Many of our correspondents aren’t. I personally have no problem with that… you gain in objectivity. Whereas with the Madrid/Barcelona media there is a shamelessness and an unethical and deceitful wishful thinking type of mindset that ruins all coverage — but it’s what the clubs want

Signing the best striker in the Premier League and one of the best in the world at 28 would have been far from a panic buy. I agree Haaland would be the first choice of the 2 but we aren’t suddenly bidding for Martial or Danny Ings because a past it legend in Serge was leaving.
Premier league has no world class strikers. Kane is the best of a poor bunch quality wise. I think haaland eclipses Kane and will be unreal for years to come. For half the price. Kane, for me, would of been a hole plugger not an astute investment.

All in all was a pretty poor performance from him but will probably be down to rust. Still not convinced he will suit our system but I just want a striker

he should not suit our system. he needs to be different and gives us a different way of playing that is sorely missing when playing parked buses that is exactly what he is.

I managed to watch the entire second half and yes there was some rustiness, probably from starting again for the first time in awhile, but I can only imagine the head is also elsewhere. He sees the same news we see everywhere about him, he knows he’s leaving, the people at Dortmund probably already treat him differently like someone who is leaving soon, and on top of all that, the club’s season is just a long wait for the end, out of all cup competitions, guaranteed in the 4 and also knowing they won’t catch Bayern. He just needs to stay fit and avoid any injuries for less than two more months
