Erling Haaland

Here is a question. If Haaland didn't have a release clause next summer, would clubs be keener to push to pay the asking price for him this summer? Thoughts?
Maybe, reports suggest (could be bollocks) dortmund want £150m, then Riola wants £20m, Alf wants £20m, then there’s £400k a week in wages, though Riola said the last part was fake.
If those figures are correct that’s a total of £290m
Next year that’s £210m
Still sounds expensive, but Kane will be £225m (£150m plus wages)
We sign Kane, Chelsea sign Lukaku and then it’ll be between the rags and German rags who gets him.

The release clause means nothing. All it will do is set off an auction that will lead to a similarly extortionate fee and wages.

As mentioned earlier, City will get Kane, Chelsea will get Lukaku. Unless Real Madrid win the Euromillions jackpot a couple of times in the interim, that leaves Bayern and the rags the most likely bidders for Haaland next summer. I would expect the rags to make contact with Raiola & co around the January window and go all out for him next summer.

In my view, City and/or Chelsea will only enter an auction for Haaland if either or both Kane and Lukaku flop badly, or suffer long term injuries.

In a nutshell, I don't see City being drawn into a crazy auction for Haaland.
