No it doesn’t make sense because we were willing to spend big on Kane and alao spent big on Grealish so you can’t say we were waiting for his release clause.

You keep pretending not to understand what really happened. We looked into Haaland before we looked into Kane; he was the first target. Dortmund wouldn’t take anything south of 180M. There is a slight difference betweent “spending big on Grealish” (100M) and spending 180M. Chelsea also wanted Haaland and settled for a player that cost about 100M. We didn’t go that beyond 100M by the best accounts because we didn’t think he was worth that amount.
So no, we weren’t waiting for the release clause as we looked into him before it kicked in. But OF COURSE it makes a difference now

It isn't unthinkable he would go to PSG now, score against farmers in bug numbers, for big money, while playing with messi in his last years and focusing on CL. With still his best years ahead of him to move to the PL, or la liga.
