Erling Haaland

He was dreadful.. Insane that people think he's better than Foden.

I know I'm in the minority but it's a big pass from me. With the wages he demands/signing bonus, we'd be much better putting that money elsewhere and DEVELOPING DELAP.
Sure a guy who scores more than 1 goal per match for the last 2 years, who is one of the few players that have beaten Dias, who every manager in the world wants is a big pass for 75m + wages.

Everyone has bad games. I don’t see how is insane to think he is better regarded than Foden. Both are great players, and both will be fighting for awards in the next 10 years.

Might have had a bad game , I didnt watch , but judging by the score his whole team had a bad game. Can't expect Haaland to bail them out every game.
He still has 21 goals in 18 champions league games

Had a couple of chances but failed to beat the keeper- one a great save, one a poor shot. His touch and passing were also a bit off and he doesn’t yet look match fit.

First off not many noticed that Haaland would have headed Ajax's first goal away if Reus didn't flick the ball over Erling and into the net. Take note of that in the highlights. He also created a few shots attempts out of next to nothing where he had no business getting a shot off but bullied the CBs to get them. Had a few half assist chances early on that his teammates either gave up on too early or made an extra unnecessary pass that ended up going backwards. And Dortmund's best scoring chance in the whole match was a rocket that Ajax's keeper got a glove on which deflected square off the crossbar.

Dortmund giving up four to Ajax had fuck all to do with Haaland and everything to do with their horrid defending. Reus and a few of their defenders can try to answer for that.

The only thing I didn't like tonight as far as how Erling would do in the City side was he didn't press the defenders at all for the ball. Granted if the Dortmund manager isn't telling him to press then he's doing nothing wrong. But if he was supposed to press more then it's a worrying problem as in one instance the RW had to go after the ball carrier alone.

he did come back from an injury didnt he ?

How does dortmund turning to shit make a January move more likely? Dortmund need champions league for the money to buy the next Haaland and to entice the next Haaland to go there to develop whilst playing at the top. If they're in danger of that not happening there's no amount of money we can offer that compensates for potentially losing out on that.

The only way a January move may appeal to Dortmund is if they're sitting pretty in second around 15 points off the top but the same points better than 3rd/4th

They'll have money for the next transfer out of the money they get for him. Obviously any player they buy will cost much less than what they get for Haaland.

I don’t particularly rate him from what I’ve seen and I prefer Bellingham of the two Dortmund players. I’m aware his stats are ridiculous though and to be honest, there’s not much out there, also, Delap will need to be eased in.
