Erling Haaland

If that was the case then we wouldn't entertain buying him. If we are serious about Haaland then it's because we think he can play our passing possesion football.
His pass completion is usually about the 75-80% mark, space for improvement but not a important part of the role he plays leading that line at Dortmund. Pressures per 90, hes the leading striker in the Lewa/Lukaku/Kane bracket. I can only assume with the 'poisitional' download he'll get from Pep, he'll be fine for the system we have.

Foden, Jack, KDB are all gonna drift into the #10 or past the lines for him

A bit harsh. Delap looks like a useful prospect, but as yet no more than that. To compare him to Haaland is irrational and perhaps this comment reflects frustration at the situation currently. The main problem I see over the next two seasons is finding the right nine who can convert the large number of chances we miss without fucking up the system that creates all those chances. At present Haaland would seem to be more likely to fill that role than Delap.
Agreed 100%. My comment was solely directed at him saying, "I couldn't care less about Delap".

It was a bit harsh by me and like he said, it was probably just poorly worded.

There is no guarantee Enrique will leave Spain after the WC. It’s a good job. If he is free, he will be in consideration, I’m sure. So would Nagelsmann if on the market. And if Pep has any say in terms if suggesting names, I can see him mentioning ETH

It's likely a debate to be rendered moot.

If Haaland agrees to join City next year, Pep will be here for at least another five years.

He will know there are some serious swings at a couple of Champions League wins.

I don't agree here. Pep had peak Messi, Xavi and Iniesta but still decided to leave Barca at one point. He couldve won more CL trophies if he stayed, he wanted a new challenge.

The pressure he had at Barcelona, with enemies inside the club, with its politics, and in the local media going after him every day, is nothing compared to what he has here. And the PL now is even more appealing than La Liga then. He knows this is the place to be

Yeah if Chelsea, having spent 100m on lukaku, on top of the other attacking players thay have, won't rule themselves out of trying to sign Haaland once he is on the market, how naive do you habe to be to think Real Madrid wouldn't try it! Despite their feeble attempts at dampening that speculation, they will try. It would be irresponsible of them not to.

Chelsea wanted him in the summer but were put off by his wage demands and the whole package of how much it would cost to sign Haaland now if he does sign with Puma that adds another obstacle to Chelsea being able to sign him. It’s why they went for Lukaku,

Madrid want Mbappe there was also a case where they wanted both Haaland and Mbappe, but some Madrid journalists who are top tier have started to feed out into the press that Madrid are distancing themselves from a Haaland deal due to the costs involved. There are some Madrid fans and sites that were saying that Haalands ”demands” are ridiculous. Wage wise and contract wise Also that Mino is asking way way to much.

City are an anomaly in any Haaland deal. We don’t have a striker, Agueros wages are off the wage bill also any bonuses that were in Agueros contract. We also just signed a massive deal with Puma, who are desperate for Haaland to be their poster boy. The chairman of Puma is very good friends with Haalands family so much that he helped facilitate Haalands move to Dortmund. Now who’s saying that he doesn’t do the same again, the Puma poster boy playing at one of the biggest clubs with the Puma kit it’s money from a business point of view. For everyone involved. There’s also a Norwegian reporter/Journalist that has said Haaland wants to play in the premier league. It’s adding up to City having a huge advantage over other clubs for Haaland.

I also don’t think we will have a problem giving the boy what he wants. As Haaland is seen as the next massive superstar.
