IncorrectWe can afford to pay Haaland 500k a week, but will we? No chance. Real Madrid or PSG or even United would do it at the drop of a hat. Ultimately our restraint is a good thing because if we gave him 500k soon De Bruyne and Dias and Bernardo would want the same, but it's totally reasonable to point out that we don't have the same willingness to chuck absurd wages at players as other clubs.
3) City have never paid top price for any player. Instead they've sought bargains. If our first choice is over-priced, we seek alternatives. I might be wrong - but I think this is absolutely without exception.
