Erling Haaland

The logic is simple. The keep Benzema during the World Cup cycle and get rid of him to make space for Haaland in the following window. It doesn’t make sense for them to have these two in the squad, that is what everyone versed in Madrid knows. And nothing stops club and player staff from reaching an agreement about that in advance. If we had Benzema in our squad, no one here would be talking about us as contenders for signing Haaland. But with Madrid, people are stuck in a decade or two in the past, thinking they will sign players they don’t need for luxury. Because “they love galacticos” or whatever

We are not Real Madrid though.

The numerous examples have been listed here ao many times. It is literally what they have always done and still do and always will. Might not make sense to you, makes sense to them and their fans.

As one said above, I honestly can't believe we are having a debate on Real Madrid being unable or unwilling to sign one of the most wanted top young players in the world. It is surreal. Of course they can, of course they will try, and of course they will be a tempting option. That shouldn't even be up for discussion. Whether he might end up there or not is separate to that, and a matter of opinion, and seeing what we want to see.

I don't know why some here are so hellbent on discounting the very real possibility that he signs for madrid lol
When Madrid signed Kaka everyone thought they wouldn’t get zidane and break the record again but that’s what they did . If real want both they will get both believe you and me .

You don't think that's a risk for them? Even with him and Sancho they went close last season.
Much weaker league in terms of competitiveness this season, especially with awful manager picks. Dortmund went without him for many games and they’re still second with a distance to the third place despite losing yesterday. They got nothing to worry about on that front. Maybe they want to win Europa League, though hehe

What is surreal is still talking about Madrid and La Liga as if there hasn’t been a realignment of forces across Europe. Case in point, the poster right after you, talking about Kaka. La Liga is in a decadent moment and as much as I like the guy, you don’t have Ancelotti as your manager today if you’re thriving. They’re still struggling to get some even smaller deals across the finish line. Maybe in a few years we will be talking about the PL in decadence and La Liga as the place to be again. No one can predict the future. But right now that isn’t the reality.
And I insist. Why are people so unwilling to listen to the fucking signs out of Madrid? Why are they relying on cliches? Show me right now ONE SINGLE INSTANCE of the Madrid of old days currently alive. One position in which they have players they don’t need or are renewing contracts to overpay unnecessary players. One piece of business that goes overboard like that.

I do have congratulate Perez though. I thought this realignment was common sense (in most circles it is), but he has managed to keep the mysticism alive, unlike Barcelona. No one is here saying “of course Barcelona can sign Haaland, they’re Barcelona after all, they will find the money and will attract the player on name alone”. No, “Barcelona are skint”, we hear.

Special shout out to Javier Tebas as well!

your explanations are pure conjecture and have always been, man. they are not "explanations", they are your opinion.
And you would rather not address them, right? Because we’re not here to debate opinions. Even informed ones.

I don't think haaland will move in January, however a couple of things may just set it off
Agents are having their commission capped as of next season to 10%,now if the buy out us 65/70m then the Agents will get 7m ,if riola wants more he will have to get Dortmund to sell in January, Dortmund get more money agents get more money, we get haaland who then gets 6 months to settle in before next season, surely a win win all round
And he wins us the CL…:)
