A nice agreement of loans and buybacks in the future would have been nice to sweeten the deal. I was a bit cold on this transfer initially but have now warmed to the idea of having a striker who might bang a few into the onion net for us. My only reservation was/is the drama and of course his agent.

“checking injury record” = escape hatchI am not much for the "game theory conspiracy hunting" kind but I do think it's interesting quite a lot of madrid sources have come out yesterday and today with a message saying "they are checking haaland's injury record".
On the one hand, it doesn't seem like they're angling for a "and that's why they didnt sign him because hes an injury risk" as most of the stuff i've seen says they think his injuries are not serious.
