I'm still happy to hang my hat on that as it's the easy option for the player.
Is there anything concrete that would lead any Blue to genuinely believe he's coming here?
Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see him here, but I just have that feeling that these types of players always end up in Spain.

Surely ‘anything concrete’ won’t happen until he actually signs for a club. But there is clearly a lot of noise that he’ll leave and there’s very trusted ITK’s that have been saying for some time, that he’s signing with us. It isn’t nailed on because anything can happen as we all know, but there are a lot of people who know a lot more than I do, who seem confident it’ll happen.

If you are literally waiting for the club, Haaland, Dortmund or Raiola to say something then there would be no discussion.
Instead we have reliable ITK's saying this is likely happening, which is the next best thing. So we talk about that.
