There's some programme on iPlayer about the history of the Premier League. Mostly same old shit but it's good for a bit of 90s nostalgia. Anyway, the clips of Alex Ferguson slagging off any player who didn't sign for them make me laugh. He did it after he retired with Aguero and David Silva as well. It's just pathetic.

Contrast that with how we talk (or don't talk) about players who we're linked with but join someone else. If anything, Pep is likely to praise the player and congratulate the team. I love that we rise above it.

But Real Madrid are the absolute kings of media influence and forcing their spin down everyone's throats. Florentino Perez is perhaps the biggest crook in football and most of the Spanish media won't wipe their arse without his permission.
