With all the talk of him smashing in 30 plus goals of the season, I thought I'd bring my pessimism and say we all expected Grealish to do well too.
It seems to take a year for any of our new forward players to do anything so I'm just saying don't be surprised if it's the same with Haaland.
Haaland is different gravy to Grealish. Statistically, Haaland is on course to be the greatest goalscorer of modern football. He may not reach that level but he's a totally different proposition to Grealish.
You’d have to be really shit to play as a striker in this side and not score goalsI hope, however statistically Grealish seemed destined to be brilliant for us. Hasn't worked out that way, yet.
Werner and Havertz also looked like they were decent, coming from that league but that hasn't worked either.
I'm just saying people are getting all their hopes up that Haaland will be the answer to goal scoring problems but things may take a while for that to happen. Obviously I hope that he hits the ground running.
If we keep him fit, he'll get 40+ a season in all comps. Of course, there are not certainties in football. But my opening sentence is as close to a certainty as you're going to get. He's a freak of nature. I've seen some people compare him to Lukaku; let it be known that these people should be lobotomized.I hope, however statistically Grealish seemed destined to be brilliant for us. That all depends on how Pep plans to utilize him. Will we change the way we play in order to better suit someone like Erling, or will he have to adapt to our kind of play. If it's the latter, I don't expect him to break any goal scoring records.Haaland is different gravy to Grealish. Statistically, Haaland is on course to be the greatest goalscorer of modern football. Check how many goals Lewandowski scored for him on his first Bayern seasonHe'll score goals, just saying that there is a lot of expectation on here of him scoring 30-40 goals plus. With new forward players usually taking a year to bed in don't be surprised if that doesn't happen.
