Watched the second half of Dortmund vs Frankfurt. Haaland been invisable. Good header from silva for the Frankfurt goal.

Let's see how haaland gets on during the week

He does not look like a player that wants to be there. His arms must he sonsore from all the arm waving in despair he was doing. It isn't like his temmates weren't putting a shift in either, but mentally he looks elsewhere. Hope he maintains that against us.

Frankfurt 7 points in front of Dortmund. Looks like Dortmund are not getting champions league

The German league is like the Dutch league any half decent striker looks good , and a good one looks insane , didn’t Sureaz score 50 for Ajax one year ??
True but it also doesn’t help that most clubs who sign them don’t bother to play them in their best positions

You can add Vincent Jansenn, Ricky Van Wolfswinkel, Ali Jahanbakhsk and Memphis Depay. Top scorers in that league but absolute pump in the Premiership.

I'll get pelters for this but his minutes this season suggests to me that Pep thoroughly disagrees.

People are talking like Delap will make this sudden jump up from barely being given a look-in since September this season to being a regular squad player next season and I just don't see it at all.

does that mean the Foden isn’t any good as he only got a few mins here and there when he was being promoted up.

This Dortmund not in Europe is just an excellent bit of news. It is less likely they reach CL places now and this but to rest Haaland waiting one more year at Dortmund.
This big profile and big transfer price comes with banging goals in CL. He can't do one year out of CL. Its gonna fuck up his brand value and Alfie and Raiola are too smart to ignore it.

Now its more likely to come down at who can pay his wages and transfer. This is where I feel a bit optimistic.

Rodwell - £12 million, sold for £10 million
Sinclair - £8 million, sold for £4 million
Jovetic - £23 million, sold for £12 million
Navas - There's no way you can class Navas as a lesser player or a waste of a transfer
Nolito - £14 million, sold for £8 million
Fernando - £12 million, sold for £5 million
Garcia - £16 million, sold for £13 million

Net transfer spend - £33 million spread over 6 players and across 5 seasons, or in other words, 6.6 million wasted per season between 12/13 - 16/17. Truly an extraordinary amount. The latest transfer in that list happened in 16/17, 5 seasons ago. You reckon we have learned from our mistakes?
Yes but there’s some on here advocating ings which would be a backward step to those times.

irrelevant that we got money back. If they are not good enough they are wasting a space in the squad.

Still a fair bit. Frankfurt have a tough few games coming up. But they do look very good. So forward minded in attack.

I still think it will be harder if Dortmund don't make the CL myself.

Do you mean getting Haaland? I can see why, lower revenues mean they need more money
