You say that but quality players continue to go there season after season. Like it or not they have pulling power.Chelsea aren't on our level. Maybe financially, but look at their performances over the years; they're not a stable project. City, similar to Madrid and Barca, are virtually guaranteed UCL football every season. We don't have to worry about Chelsea, they're miles behind us in terms of a sustainable elite footballing project and there's no great affinity between the player and club. Haaland will probably move to Madrid or City.
Ha. Tokyo32's English certainly reads as if it's at least his second or third language.Probably Tokyo32
Speaking about his son's move to Dortmund, Haaland told TV2 last March: “You never know how it would go in other clubs.
“It may well have been good, too, if we had chosen a different route. We’ll never get an answer to that. But we are very happy with the clubs he has been in.
“You have to go to a club where the whole club wants you, not just the coach.
“I think that’s the most important thing, in addition to how the club has been over the last five or ten years and what direction they’ve taken.
“Because it’s dangerous to just sign for a coach, because he can suddenly be sacked.”
In November 2019, Alf-Inge revealed his Leeds-born son followed City as a kid and would like to play in the Premier League at some point in his career.
“He was a Leeds fan and a City fan and a Nottingham Forest fan – he followed me obviously, but that is what you do in your youth," he told talkSPORT.
“It is different being a supporter and having a job.
“But he was born in Leeds.
“At one stage he would like to play in the Premier League, but when that will happen, I don’t know. It is a very tough league.
“Up to now he is ahead of the stage we thought he would be at. He is built for the Premier League, but whether that will happen now or at a later stage, we don’t know."
It's just the name that attracts them not the playersYou say that but quality players continue to go there season after season. Like it or not they have pulling power.
I wouldn't go there if I had offers from us and Madrid as well but I wouldn't discount them altogether
When’s that ever stopped them?I thought Madrid had financial problems
