Really? Maybe I read it wrong but clearly he still has grudge with pep from that quote .
I think he is opposite of “ it’s all business but nothing personal “
I don’t blame you from misunderstanding it because it was poorly translated and he has the vocabulary of a ten year old, but he meant “that’s in the past, we don’t like each other, but business is business and he’s a great coach”. In other words, the world is round. And people are able to do business regardless of personal issues

He basically said it's done and dusted, not worth discussing anymore. Yes, they have issues between them personally but not something that would affect business. Hence he's, "closed the book a long time ago"
everybody know what i think of him personally’

that was unnecessary regardless of lost in translational

But if we are going for Haaland this coming window, surely whatever his release clause is doesn't matter?
Yes but the speculation is meaningless about until properly sourced— which might never be

If it is true that it is higher, which I would doubt, then yes as it is all relative. They can ask for more this season, to let the player go earlier.

Ultimately if we are interested, we most likely know that though and what they might be willing to accept after the gamble posturing.

It was unnecessary but it read to me more like “you all know I don’t like him, so I don’t need to keep talking about it, and you can stop asking me about it”. It was more like “leave it in the past”. And as the rest of the quote shows, I actually think his feelings about Pep are less particular about him and more of a bias against big name coaches in general

the other sentence was unnecessary

let’s hope all goes well
