Erling Haaland

I know these are only highlights, but I was checking 20/21 highlights from Lewandowski, Lukaku, Kane and Haaland who are IMO in the top 5 of best FW in the world(with Benzema). I don't know how anyone could see those and not think that Haaland is a tier above the others. It's frightening how good and complete he is, and how he can make some of the top players in the world look just good.

We don't need someone who creates and assists goals. We just need a physical presence with good link-up play who can produce his own goals. Anyone who thinks Haaland is not gonna be an all-time great(he is just too unique just like ATG) is fooling themselves. And getting him for 75m?!! Even with 30m wages, that's a steal. For me there are only 2 options:

1. Get Haaland.
2. Someone else gets Haaland, so we get Lewandowski or Benzema(very unlikely). He's gonna be great for 2-3 years, and he is old enough that Delap's progression is not stopped.

The Vlahovic, Darwin, Joao, Isaak won't do a big difference. I would prefer to wait for the next Haaland before wasting 80m on any of them.

Sry but I couldn't care less about Delap. I want and we NEED Haaland.

Agreed. So tired of people talking about Delap like we have peak Aguero sat on the bench. We don't. If he was that good he'd have played more last season. He will need at least a couple of seasons of learning to get anywhere near the level Haaland is at now. He's doing the business in the Champions League.

Ajax vs Dortmund: on one side the manager to replace Pep (hopefully not too soon!) and on the other the 9 we need. Ten Hag absolutely demolished Marco Rose tonight — but Reus’ own goal certainly helped.

Only player to address the fans after the show and apologize

Sorry about the off topic but not sure about Ten Hag to be honest. What he managed to do at Ajax is great, no doubt , but can he do it in a better league? can he deal with the pressure ? can he compete with the likes of Klopp , Tuchel, Conte ?
Hard to say.
At Ajax he competes in a farmers league and has the goal of trying to qualify out of their CL group, even if he fails that it's not the end of the world. Would be a very different experience at City.

No offence mate but that makes you sound like a complete ****.
A bit harsh. Delap looks like a useful prospect, but as yet no more than that. To compare him to Haaland is irrational and perhaps this comment reflects frustration at the situation currently. The main problem I see over the next two seasons is finding the right nine who can convert the large number of chances we miss without fucking up the system that creates all those chances. At present Haaland would seem to be more likely to fill that role than Delap.

You are correct that it’s not the ideal situation. Just like I didn’t think Nagelsmann would be ready, but with Bayern experience he is now. My feeling about Ten Hag is that I don’t see almost anyone out there capable of pushing the same style of positional football as Pep. It’s so important that we don’t lose the culture of football he has installed. So the “risk” with ETH would be worth it, much more so than wasting our resources with a Brendan Rogers let’s say.

Id prefer Luis Enrique as he has better experience and is more accomplished (won the champions league)
But if Ten Hag proves himself at a better/other club one day then definitely

Can actually see us paying those wages. Puma want him as a poster boy for them. City will make a massive deal about the signing the next generation is Haaland vs Mbappe. Plus a lot of wages have come off the wage bill. I think the players as well realise how special Haaland is. Could see Puma offering to help as well

Absolutely no fucking chance City pay someone a million a week.

I was the first person to mention Enrique in the “Next manager after Pep” for the same reason as I like ETH, which is to preserve the style of football. I like the guy a lot. He does have a failed year at Roma, which can be explained with the context of the new owner etc, but it concerns me that he didn’t handle it well. At Barcelona he certainly had it easier. ETH has been at Ajax for about the same time as Pep has been here which is a good thing as he is tested in implementing an idea long term and being successful. He was also the manager at Bayern Munich II at the same time Pep manager their main team, so he certainly learned from him, which I find relevant. I would not be worried at all if he were appointed

The wage part of the story is not reliable given the source it’s Bild — Bayern has been pushing the ‘greedy’ narrative to justify them not signing him.
However we would pay him to be something no player we have in the squad is: the topscorer and poster boy. How much that is, I don’t know. I know Grealish walked in the door earning more than anyone but KdB because that’s what it took. And I do not think this time the financial side will be any sort of impediment after negotiations

No there isn't however as Puma are supposedly attempting to sign Haaland up I can see them offering him a bonus if he signs for us.

Pumas chairman got Haaland to Dortmund. He helped with the transfer its why I cant see him going to a team that does not wear Puma. Apparently his dad and the chairman are close as well.

Can or can’t?

I think they might be the wages when all the bonuses add up, I think Puma will play massively into this. They also might help City. The chairman helped facilitate Haalands move to Dortmund he could do the same with us.
